Exploring Green Bar's New Face Line
What inspired the new face line?

Being bolder and more sure of a Slow Beauty concept. For me upgrading means applying years of listening to clients feedback, with observation and the right advisors onboard.

Tell us about the new ingredients used for this line, especially the use of activated crystals.

A lot of the ingredients are the highest quality I can get my hands on, but there were some products that were just not working as efficiently as we wanted, and we didn’t realize that the secret was to remove an ingredient or two, to get it to work like magic.

We also understand skin more, and we have an aesthetician team member too to give us feedback now, so it helps to get feedback from people who’ve seen a lot. But our “keep it simple” belief is very on point and it gives me greater confidence to be very loud about simple is better, simple is more forward, simple is powerful. The trick is to keep the ingredients very very clean so we don’t get in their way of doing the work.



We are also slowly working with more and more local farms as we establish these relationships we can produce more in our lab to supervise the integrity of the ingredients. We are also exploring more natural materials, like crystals to amplify or sooth a plants properties . We distill herbs, we ferment herbs, we blend and soak infusions, we cook blends, and all these processes over the course of around 15years of having Green Bar have all improved to give the clients the best we can offer, and the best we know how to offer.

Plants don’t reveal their secrets to us in a day, so we have to be patient, I am grateful to what they have communicated to us up to now and I look forward to keep understanding them.


The new packaging is beautiful. What inspired the color palette?

The
palette is inspired by the ingredients. For example, the mauve color of the Intensive Antioxidant Moisturiser packaging is inspired by the color of the mulberry extract we make for it. The Active Pearl Toner packaging on the other hand reflects the mineral and its connection to water, where as the green packaging in the Exfoliating Cellular Cleanser takes the color of the jujubee leaves when we spread them out to make the product.
